Can you tell me what you think of Greencross (GXL)?

They look OK, but have fallen 8% since I bought them. They paid a 7c dividend in late September and haven’t recovered.

I suspect people have just sold out in the current downturn because they have made their money and want to cash in. So my question is are they likely to recover, or will they continue to languish?

I am finding it a difficult call because I can’t see anything wrong with the company and it looks to have a good future.

What about the next tier of banks, like AMP or BOQ – are they likely to see more serious growth as the demand for lending increases, with the economy picking up?

Property allocations

I have decided to allocate 15% of my SMSF portfolio to property (under a “growth” accumulation strategy), and want to get a balanced mix across local and international property.

At this stage I am thinking two ETFs, such as:

1). SPDR Dow Jones Global Real Estate Fund (DJRE)
2). Vanguard Australian Property Securities Index (VAP)

I am interested in your thoughts on these.
