SMSF contributions

Is it true that once I turn 65, I can no longer put money into my SMSF if I am not working?

A: Thanks for the question.

Once you turn 65, you can only make further contributions to superannuation if you meet the work test.

To qualify, you will need to work a minimum of 40 hours over any consecutive 30 day period. You only need to do this once during the financial year.
