Then names of the two trustees in the SMSF are not in the same format as our passports, even though they are the same people. In the SMSF, the name is YKTL, the name in the passport is TYKL.

1. ATO records incorrect – there is an ATO form here.
2. That web address also has information about changing info on the ABN register
3. If you have a corporate trustee you need to go the ASIC website.
4. For listed shares – go to your broker or share registry – some fees may apply.
5. For real estate – go to the land titles office (a lawyer might need to prepare and lodge a document for you so ad valorem stamp duty isn’t payable; hopefully only a nominal fee would aply.
