You answered a question re: AMP in January this year.
Are your thoughts still the same, or do you now see a brighter future for the stock?
I hold a few of these, and I am thinking of selling them and putting the cash into an ETF, like IVV or Platinum.
A: I haven’t changed my mind on AMP – however, I have been a little out of sync with the market.
IVV or Platinum are of course, very different beasts to the AMP.
As far as the market is concerned, sentiment on AMP is marginally positive at +0.1 (scale -1.0 most negative, +1.0 most positive).
According to FN Arena, the consensus target price is $5.66.
AMP is trading on a reasonable multiple of CY 14 earnings at 17.3, dividend yield of 4.4%.
