Would you kindly give me your considered opinion on the current “AMP Capital Notes Offer”.
I already own 2,000 AMP shares amongst a relatively small portfolio – several options are available to me
a) ignore – do nothing,
b) accept offer
c) spend the equivalent amount of money in buying more AMP shares (or other shares)
A: I can’t legally advise you what to do without a full understanding of your needs, objectives, investment situation, etc.
That said, if you don’t understand the issue and have no experience in buying a hybrid security, then ignore – do nothing.
If you are comfortable with the risk of hybrid securities like this issue from the AMP, then I think the gross margin of 5.1 is relatively attractive.
