Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Thursday, Dec 4:

ORL – OROTONGROUP – down 17 cents, or 4.3 per cent, at $3.82

Upmarket retailer Oroton fears its first half earnings could fall because it has stopped slashing the prices of its luxury accessories for shoppers.

SUN – SUNCORP – up one cent, or 0.1 per cent, at $14.39

Insurer Suncorp has received almost 25,000 claims from the savage hailstorm that tore through Brisbane last week.

TEN – TEN NETWORK – down 1.5 cents, or 6.3 per cent, at 22.5

Troubled broadcaster Ten Network has received a number of non-binding proposals it says could lead to a takeover or a refinancing of its debt.

TPM – TPG TELECOM – up 19 cents, or 2.6 per cent, at $7.51

Internet service provider TPG’s share price has risen after the company flagged a strong increase in underlying earnings.

WOW – WOOLWORTHS – up 66 cents, or 2.2 per cent, at $30.90

Woolworths has bought one of China’s major alcohol distributors in its first foray into the world’s second largest economy.
