Aussie shares close lower

The Australian share market has closed lower, pulled back by falls in energy stocks amid fresh lows in oil prices.

At the close on Wednesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 11.2 points, or 0.21 per cent, lower at 5,353.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 11.7 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 5,334.5, according to preliminary figures.

On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was two points lower at 5,310, with 24,920 contracts traded.
