For one reason or another I have $US40k in a SMSF Macquarie account in the USA earning no interest. The reason for this is because I have been waiting for the Aussie dollar to drop and improve the conversion. I have come to believe that it will be another 6 months or more before it will be worthwhile to bring it back to Australia and reap the benefits of a lower AUD.
Can you please suggest/recommend where to invest this in the States – or better still, suggest a managed fund with a good track record that is relatively secure.

Please have a look at today’s (Tuesday’s) Switzer Super Report – I have reviewed some of the better managed funds that focus on investing offshore. I would probably go for the Magellan Global Fund (if you want an active manager), or if passive, the iShares S&P 500 ETF (code IVV).
