Hearts and Mind Investment IPO

What is your opinion on the Hearts and Mind Investment IPO? Would it be a good long term growth investment?

On this very volatile market, should young adults still have their super on high growth/growth portfolio?

A: Thanks for the question about the Hearts and Mind listed investment company.

Will it be a good long term growth investment? Maybe. It has a very impressive team of Managers, but it is concentrated, and the proof will be in the eating.

Two other points:

  1. It is a listed investment company, so there will be no shortage of opportunities to buy this on the ASX. It also may trade at a discount (or premium) to NTA;
  2. While the managers won’t be charging any fees, the company will be donating 1.5% of the NTA to medical research each year.

In the main, I see no reason why young adults should change their long term investment strategy, but if you are uncomfortable, then it might be a good idea to wind the risk back.
