Portfolios underwhelm in September

A range bound market saw the Australian sharemarket finish very marginally lower in September. In price terms, the S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.6% to finish at 5,682. With dividends included, it finished virtually flat, leaving the year-to-date return at 3.9%.
