Investing in the index

I have sold down on a percentage of my SMSF, and now hold some cash.

The XJO index is around 5,580, so what is the best way of investing in the index?

All Ords Accumulation Index

Could you tell me where I can find the All Ords Accumulation Index? I have checked a number of the obvious areas but can’t find it anywhere. I understand the stock code for it is XAOAI, but this does not seem to be covered by the ASX website, or any of the charting software that I have.

ASX ETF for Nasdaq stocks

Just checking whether there is an ASX ETF for Nasdaq stocks? I don’t believe there is.

I’m also looking at IVV.AX as a good way of getting US exposure, but wondering if you can also point me to others?

I gather IVV is the largest and most widely invested for general US exposure.

Financial and accounting software

Can you recommend an easy financial/accounting software package that allows me to manage my portfolio better, i.e. portfolio valuation reports that has capital loss/gains, income/expense reports, etc. Also for tax purposes.

Macquarie Group

Where is the Macquarie Group headed? Is it already overpriced and overrated, or, should I consider this group as a potential growth opportunity?

Exposure to the USD

I have a SMSF and currently have 100% of the members funds in domestic shares and cash.

With a declining AUD, I wish to allocate a portion of my funds into foreign currencies, most probably the USD, without exposure to the US equities market on the basis US stocks are currently overvalued.

Based on the above, how should I get exposure to the USD without investing in the equities markets? Should I open an account denominated in USD, with the intention of investing the USD funds into US equities if/once the US markets corrects? Or, should I purchase units in Platinum, or some other fund manager, which invests in US/foreign equities?
