Stocks of interest on the Australian Securities Exchange on Friday:

AGL – AGL Energy – up two cents, or 0.1 per cent, at $16.13

The power company is in talks to sell its $500 million stake in Australia’s largest windfarm to potential buyers including China Huaneng Group, the Australian Financial Review reports.

ALQ – ALS GLOBAL – down 39 cents, or 6.1 per cent, at $6.04

Testing and analytical laboratory services provider ALS has reported an annual net loss of $174.5 million as operations in the minerals and energy sectors come under pressure.

FMG – FORTESCUE METALS GROUP – up seven cents, or three per cent, at $2.375

Andrew Forrest has no intentions to sell down his stake in Fortescue Metals despite meetings with Chinese investors.

FXJ – FAIRFAX MEDIA – down 0.5 cents, or 0.5 per cent, at $1.01

Media giant Fairfax will be axing more than 100 jobs across New Zealand, staff say.

MYO – MYOB – down 12 cents, or 3.3 per cent, at $3.47

Accounting software group MYOB is buying a New Zealand payroll solutions company for $NZ14 million ($A13.15 million).

SEA – SUNDANCE ENERGY – down one cent, or 1.7 per cent, at 58 cents

Oil and gas producer Sundance Energy has lifted its full year production targets despite scaling back exploration amid weaker oil prices.

SXL – SOUTHERN CROSS MEDIA – down 1.5 cents, or 1.4 per cent, at $1.065

Former Ten Network boss Grant Blackley has been appointed chief executive of radio and regional TV broadcaster Southern Cross Media.
